Thanks to the cloud, I can work at the office, save my work to the cloud, and then easily access it from another location. It’s incredibly convenient. I don’t have to carry files on a USB stick and I don’t have to email files to myself. Once the files are in the cloud, they are synced across all my devices so I can easily and conveniently access them.

Similar functionality is offered by RealPlayer Cloud. If you are familiar with Real Player, then you know it is a media player that has a lot to offer: support for lots of formats, manage audio and video files, burn data, built-in browser, and so on. RealPlayer Cloud adds one more thing to the list of features: cloud functionality. You can upload media to the cloud and easily access it from other devices.

If you want to get started with RealPlayer Cloud, you need to do two things: install RealPlayer Cloud and create a RealPlayer Cloud account. Signing up for a free account gets you 2GB of cloud storage space. Creating an account won’t take long; installing RealPlayer Cloud won’t take long either. It must be mentioned here that RealPlayer Cloud is available for Windows, Windows Phone, iOS, Android, and Kindle Fire.

There are three buttons at the top of the interface:
Now Playing – the panel that plays back videos.
PC & Cloud Library – manage your local media and access the media stored in the cloud.
Web Videos – like the name says.

A fourth button shows up when you access your account settings. This button opens the browser that is built into the application and allows you to access and manage your RealPlayer Cloud account.

RealPlayer Cloud puts tons of useful functionality at your fingertips: view videos, listen to music, view photos; view and manage locally stored media; upload media to the cloud and access it from your Windows Phone, iPhone, Android, or Kindle Fire; share media with others; burn media; protect your privacy with Private Mode; enable parental controls and restrict access to inappropriate content; surf the web with the built-in browser; and more.

As mentioned above, a free RealPlayer Cloud account gets you 2GB of cloud storage space. Additional space can be earned for free: 250MB for each additional device you add (up to 4 devices can be added), 250MB for adding your first video to RealPlayer Cloud, 250MB for sharing your first video from RealPlayer Cloud, 1GB for every friend you get to sign up for RealPlayer Cloud.

If the free offering is not enough and you need more storage space, there are several paid plans that you can get: Silver 25GB, Gold 100GB, Pro 300GB.

Cloud functionality was added to a media player that was already properly good. That’s how RealPlayer Cloud was created.

Pros

RealPlayer Cloud is available for multiple platforms: Windows, Windows Phone, Android, iOS, Kindle Fire. Installing the application on a Windows PC is an effortless task. The interface is good looking and easy to navigate; multiple view modes are available for the interface. Support for lots of media formats is provided. Use RealPlayer Cloud to manage a collection of media files, to view and share media, to browse the web, and more. You get 2GB of cloud storage for free and you can earn more, also for free.

Cons

The setup wizard wants to install additional software.
